Nagua is the capital city of María Trinidad Sánchez province, it is located in the northeastern end of the Dominican Republic. It is especially famous because of its fine-and-white-sand beaches.
In its early days, circa 1938, this welcoming city was named after “Julia Molina”, Rafael Trujillo’s mother’s name. After his fall, in 1961, this city changed its name to the current one, Nagua.
Also known as “Boca de Nagua”, this beautiful city has a lot to offer to its visitors, especially to ecotourism lovers. For example, Cabo Francés Viejo Natural Monument, Laguna Dudú or Diamond Beach. These are some of the most appreciated and recommended places by locals and tourists.
