The Museo de las Ballenas (Whale Museum) is a reference for all cetologists, there are varied cetaceans exhibitions on its facilities. There is worth mentioning the humpback whale exhibition.  

This initiative was intended to foster the knowledge of this beautiful animal, and to preserve the great marine ecosystem of the Dominican Republic.  

This museum has guided tours with pleasant talks. Besides, the museum has a little shop where you can buy handcrafted souvenirs.
