Parque Caonabo (Caonabo Park) is located at the entrance to San Juan de la Maguana. It commemorates the local cacique that fought against the colonisers for the indigenous population’s rights. The different chiefdoms in which the island was divided and the Taíno way of life are represented there.
There, there is a miniature replica of “el Corral de los Indios” Ceremonial Square as it is nowadays. This charming square is quite interesting due to its beauty and it is a fantastic place to rest before visiting the next tourist attraction.
