Plaza Anacaona Square was built in 1992 and its is visited both by natives and foreigners. This beautiful plaza was built in honour of Queen Anacaona, and it shows different mural paintings in which the Dominican way of life is portrayed. The artists involved in this project were Natalia Saxton and Luigi Jiménez.

At the centre of the plaza there is a curious statue of the Queen seated on its throne which was made by Nicolás Jiménez. The Dominican History is represented on this plaza and it transforms it into an interesting place for visitors, who can admire and immerse themselves into the Taíno legacy that can be appreciated in every country’s hideout.
