Finished in 1535, the Imperial Convent of Santo Domingo is made up by the convent, temple and chapel of the Third Order and the building where it was created the first University of America, all these constructions being situated around an atrium.

The Rosario Chapel located in its interior is very interesting thanks to its Plateresque vestibule and its stone vault with astrological representations. Moreover, you can contemplate nice stone altars and other works of historical interest. The Medieval facade was decorated in the 18th century with a rose window and different motifs in Baroque style following the customs of the island at the time.

Also known as Dominicos Convent, it is located in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo and it’s very close to other interesting spots like the Duarte and Fray Bartolomé de las Casas parks or the Primada de América Cathedral.
